Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Friday called for Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to resign after a disastrous Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, after which the president asked him to leave.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">\u2018He either needs to resign and send somebody over that we can do business with, or he needs to change,\u2019 Graham, a longtime advocate for Ukraine and foreign policy hawk, told reporters at the White House.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The South Carolina Republican called the Friday meeting a \u2018complete utter disaster.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I have never been more proud of the president. I was very proud of JD Vance standing up for our country,\u2019 Graham said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He slammed the \u2018disrespectful\u2019 Oval Office display from Zelenskyy, going as far as saying, \u2018I don\u2019t know if we can ever do business with Zelenskyy again.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>According to the senator, he doesn\u2019t think Americans saw the Ukrainian president as someone they feel comfortable going \u2018into business with,\u2019 following the televised dispute.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-media twitter\">\n<div class=\"tweet-embed\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u2018The way he handled the meeting, the way he confronted the president was just over the top,\u2019 said Graham.<\/p>\n<p>The senator stressed that the Ukrainian-American relationship is \u2018vitally important.\u2019 However, he cast doubt on whether Zelenskyy could ever \u2018do a deal with the United States.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2018After what I saw, I don\u2019t know,\u2019 said Graham.<\/p>\n<p>Following the public fallout between Zelenskyy, Trump and Vance, the Ukrainian president\u2019s speaking event at the Hudson Institute set for Friday afternoon was abruptly canceled.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He is still slated to appear on Fox News\u2019 \u2018Special Report\u2019 at 6 p.m. ET for an exclusive interview with Chief Political Anchor Bret Baier.<\/p>\n<p>After the Friday meeting, Zelenskyy wrote on X, \u2018Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS. Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zelenskyy has yet to react to Graham\u2019s call for his resignation.
