Eternal (ETEA.NS) shares rose on Thursday after its quick-commerce arm Blinkit broke even, a milestone that boosted investor confidence in the company\u2019s ability to hold firm in India\u2019s fast-growing rapid delivery market. <\/p>\n

The stock jumped as much as 8% during the session, but lost most of the gains and was trading down by 0.92% at \u20b9280.90. <\/p>\n

The move followed a strong quarterly update from Eternal, including higher profit and a sharp swing in Blinkit\u2019s adjusted performance. <\/p>\n

The company also announced a leadership change that will take effect from February 1. <\/p>\n

Blinkit breaks even in India quick commerce<\/h2>\n

Eternal said Blinkit posted adjusted core earnings of 40 million rupees in the third quarter, compared with a loss of 1.56 billion rupees in the previous quarter.<\/p>\n

The shift is significant as India\u2019s quick commerce market has become one of the most competitive consumer sectors, with rapid expansion, tighter delivery timelines, and aggressive spending among major players. <\/p>\n

With competition building, investors have been looking for signs that leading platforms can improve unit economics without slowing growth.<\/p>\n

Blinkit\u2019s break-even result strengthens the view that it can deliver operational progress even in a crowded market.<\/p>\n

Q3 profit jumps as earnings strengthen<\/h2>\n

Eternal reported a 73% rise in third-quarter profit to 1.02 billion rupees ($11.2 million), reinforcing the positive market response.<\/p>\n

The profit growth suggests the company is improving its earnings base while continuing to scale a business segment that remains under pressure across the industry. <\/p>\n

For investors, the combination of higher group profit and Blinkit\u2019s adjusted swing helps ease concerns over whether fast delivery expansion will weigh heavily on overall financial performance.<\/p>\n

CEO handover puts Blinkit chief in charge<\/h2>\n

Eternal also said founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal will step down after 18 years, effective February 1, and take on the role of vice chairman.<\/p>\n

Albinder Dhindsa, the head of Blinkit, will take over as chief executive. <\/p>\n

The transition is notable because Blinkit is central to Eternal\u2019s growth plans and investor expectations, especially as competition remains intense across India\u2019s quick commerce space.<\/p>\n

The leadership shift indicates that Eternal is putting Blinkit\u2019s execution leadership at the forefront, while keeping strategic continuity through Goyal\u2019s new role.<\/p>\n

Experts stay bullish on Blinkit profits<\/h2>\n

Eternal posted stronger-than-expected Q3 results, with Blinkit and Hyperpure achieving adjusted EBITDA breakeven ahead of estimates, according to Nuvama Institutional Equities. <\/p>\n

The brokerage said Deepinder Goyal\u2019s move from CEO to vice chairman aims to avoid conflicts as he pursues outside ventures. <\/p>\n

Nuvama raised FY26 and FY27 EPS estimates by 41% and 2.3%, maintained a \u2018Buy\u2019 rating, and increased its target price to \u20b9430. <\/p>\n

Motilal Oswal also reiterated a \u2018Buy\u2019 call, citing stability in food delivery and Blinkit\u2019s long-term potential, but cut its target to \u20b9360 amid competitive pressures.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
