CrowdStrike Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: CRWD) is inching lower on Mar 27 after partner Anthropic previewed a \u201cbreakthrough\u201d AI model with advanced cybersecurity capabilities it\u2019s calling Claude Mythos.<\/em><\/p>\n

Adding to the pressure are reports of Amazon.com Inc, another one of CRWD’s partners, developing a sophisticated artificial intelligence tool to handle sales, business development, and other tasks.<\/p>\n

Following today\u2019s decline, CrowdStrike stock is down some 22% versus its year-to-date high.<\/p>\n

Why Claude Mythos is bearish for CRWD stock<\/h2>\n

According to Anthropic\u2019s leaked draft, its next-gen AI model features autonomous threat-hunting capabilities that may bypass third-party firewalls and endpoint protections from the likes of CRWD.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s reasonable to assume that if Anthropic\u2019s large language models (LLMs) succeed at identifying, sandboxing, and patching vulnerabilities independently, CrowdStrike will have a \u201cdifficult time\u201d justifying its rather stretched 381x forward multiple.<\/p>\n

CRWD shares are losing on Friday mostly because of investor concerns that, as AI models become \u201ccyber-aware\u201d at the kernel level, the company\u2019s detect-and-respond moat could erode, turning its premium pricing into a redundant expense.<\/p>\n

Note that CrowdStrike\u2019s relative strength index<\/a> (14-day) sits at about 36 currently \u2013 indicating it\u2019s not yet \u201coversold\u201d. <\/p>\n

Simply put, the RSI reading suggests there may be room for further downside ahead.<\/p>\n

Why Amazon news is bearish for CrowdStrike shares<\/h2>\n

Investors are bailing on CrowdStrike shares also due to reports that Amazon is working on an AI tool that could handle sales and business development-related tasks.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a significant blow to the strategic agreement CRWD signed with the tech titan in September 2025, which positioned its Falco Go as the primary security layer for Amazon Business Prime.<\/p>\n

While the Mythos news undermines CrowdStrike\u2019s technical moat, the reports of AMNZ\u2019s internal AI agents strike at the distribution and partnership moat that it has spent years building.<\/p>\n

In short, it signals a potential \u201cpartner-to-competitor\u201d pivot that threatens CRWD\u2019s revenue growth as well as enterprise dominance.<\/p>\n

At writing, CrowdStrike sits decisively below its major moving averages (MAs), indicating bears are firmly in control across multiple timeframes.<\/p>\n

Should you buy the dip in CrowdStrike Holdings?<\/h2>\n

Despite the headline risk, CRWD stock may be attractive for long-term investors to buy on the dip, given the firm\u2019s record $5.25 billion annual recurring revenue (ARR).<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s return to GAAP profitability in fiscal 2026 suggests its \u201cland-and-expand\u201d strategy remains unrivaled.<\/p>\n

More importantly, AI could actually prove a major tailwind<\/a> for CrowdStrike over time. Why? <\/p>\n

Because it compresses \u201cbreakout times\u201d to minutes, forcing enterprises to abandon manual tools for its machine-speed Falcon platform.<\/p>\n

This is why Wall Street analysts remain bullish on CRWD, with the mean price target of roughly $492 indicating potential upside of more than 30% from here.<\/p>\n
